Over the past few years, the cost of silver has steadily increased, and like many small makers, I feel that every time I order wire and materials. It would be easier — and cheaper — to switch to plated metals or lower-quality alternatives. But I don’t. I never will.

And here’s why.

Every piece I make in the Sterling Silver Collection is created using solid .925 sterling silver — not plated, not filled, not mystery metal. Sterling silver is made to last while looking gorgeous and complimenting many skin tones. It can be worn daily, gently polished, repaired if needed, and enjoyed for years into generations. I personally have several sterling silver pieces that were my grandmother's that she purchase in the South West in the early 1900s. That tells a story - that's the power of sterling silver. 

Cheap jewelry isn’t made to last, and it isn’t meant to be passed down through generations. It often looks fine at first, but it’s usually disposable. It tarnishes quickly, breaks, causes irritation (I know firsthand), or simply doesn’t hold up. Then it gets replaced… again and again. 

Sterling silver is different. It’s a material with history, durability, and integrity.

When you purchase a handmade sterling silver piece, you’re not just buying metal. You’re supporting the time, skill, and care that goes into shaping that metal by hand.

That does mean some prices have changed — not because of trends or hype, but because I believe in offering pieces that are made well and made to last.

I don’t believe jewelry needs to be trendy or disposable to be beautiful. I'm really drawn to organic natural inspiration and styles that speak quality like equestrian and nautical styles.
