🧴 Luxurious DIY Body Butter
Yield: 3–4 cups | ⏱ 30–60 minutes
Enjoy the luxury of nourishing and toxin-free ingredients in this homemade body butter.
🌿 Ingredients
- ½ cup shea butter (raw/organic)
- ½ cup cocoa butter
- ¼ cup jojoba oil
- ¼ cup castor oil
- 1 Tbs organic emulsifying wax
- Essential oils (optional)
Method
Step 1 — Melt
On med-low heat, melt butters and wax together until fully liquid.
Step 2 — Add Oils
Remove from heat and pour in the jojoba and castor oils. Stir to combine. Add essential oils now if using.
Step 3 — Chill
Pour into a bowl and refrigerate until it just begins to thicken — like a thin pancake batter. You may see it start to harden at the edges. Don't let it go too solid!
Step 4 — Whip
Transfer to a stand mixer and whip on high for 10 minutes. Watch it fluff up and turn white — it's like magic. ✨
Step 5 — Store
Spoon into airtight container(s). Keep at room temperature away from direct heat. Enjoy!
