I came across two strands of natural Botswana Agate stone beads - one dark, one light - and knew exactly what I wanted to do. They inspired me to create "best friend" necklaces. Both a little different, yet speaking the same handcrafted language.

Botswana Agate displays highly defined parallel banding, usually in white or hues of brown, gray, pink, tan, apricot and purplish red. Botswana Agate was formed long ago by lava flowing in waves from long faults in the earth. This lava rolled across the landscape, depositing layer upon layer of Quartz silicate to create the banding and patterns now prized in Botswana Agate.

Amazonite is one of my favorite stones and beautifully accents the Agate stones. Go deeper into the product photos to see the differences up close. I think you will love the looks that are similar yet distinct just like two friends would be.
