Ginkgo earrings

These started with a walk on my father-in-law's property in the hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where I harvested a real ginkgo leaf and hand-pressed it into silver clay to create a mold. Every vein, every curve, every imperfection of that leaf is captured in the metal — each pair pressed by hand from that same original mold.

I fired the clay to pure fine silver (.999), then finished each piece simply and honestly. No fuss. Just the leaf, preserved in silver, on a French ear wire.

They're the kind of earrings that feel like wearing a quiet memory.
